Background:
The world’s Muslim population is growing significantly, with current projections estimating their numbers at approximately 1.57 billion people or the equivalent to a quarter of the world’s population. Many of these individuals reside in oil rich countries in the Middle East which have allowed them to generate enormous wealth. Others live in countries like Indonesia and Malaysia which are currently undergoing tremendous growth.
Nonetheless, Islamic Finance remains an often overlooked and understudied field in the West. While Islamic Finance is in its embryonic phase, global financial institutions are starting to understand and focus on its importance. Consequently, this field represents a diverse array of opportunities pertinent to any MBA student or current practitioner working in today’s global marketplace.
Come join us, March 11th to learn more about this exciting field. For any questions or concerns please contact the FordhamFinanceSociety@Gmail.com
